Our Services, Page 1 of 3
You may ask...what equipment have you worked on? Here are 3 pages devoted to pictures of small equipment we've repaired for customers. Although every item we've ever repaired isn't shown, this will give you a good idea of what our talents are capable of accomplishing.
Walking Bed Trailer with Honda Engine
This walking bed trailer Honda engine needed an electric starter. Ted's Diesel Electric provided a starter for us in less than 24 hours. Fortunately, we have a driveway large enough to accommodate a trailer of this size without blocking access. Also, we have an area behind the shop where it's easy to turn around, so big rigs don't have to back in from the street. As I have commented in other places on this website, sometimes small equipment is on (or in) large equipment, and we can repair pretty much whatever you need.
4 Wheel Line Engines:Junk<Working
Here are 4 basically junk wheel line engines I have been tasked with to make into as many working engines as possible, as cheaply as possible. The answer to the most obvious question: Yes, I resurrect the dead. (Most of the time, anyway.) Used 4 to make 3 working engines.
24HP Wood Chipper
Just a service and sharpen the blades, requiring a trip to my machinist.
1940 Singer Sewing Machine
This antique required a good cleaning and oiling. Still works fine.
Kitchen Aid Heavy Duty Mixer
They may be heavy duty, but they are NOT unbreakable! This one stripped a nylon gear while mixing bread dough. The fix was inexpensive and relatively easy. So, if yours quits working, CALL TOM!, we work on Kitchen Aid Mixers, too!
Homemade Hydraulic System
This customer built this cabinet to make bullets. He didn't fully understand the operation of the pump, and brought it in for problem diagnosis. No problem, wrong style pump for the application.
Antique Go-Cart
This is a genuine antique sold by Coca-Cola, I believe in the 1960's, driven mostly in parades. Required a service and a clutch.
Cecilware Ugolini MT2 UL BL
Don't let the title fool you, it's just a slushie machine! This one had missing teeth on the second reduction gear on the right side mixer. A simple repair, and back to the store.
See, we REALLY DO work on ANY small equipment!

Electric Motor Powered Reel Mower
This is another antique. I've never seen one before. A customer called and asked if we could repair it for her. It required an activation lever which made a switch contact between the battery and motor. Simple fix, and it's as good as new.
Bosch Electric Jackhammer
Contractor said it quit on him, and that it had a safety switch on it to shut it off when the brushes wore down. We checked it out, found nothing wrong - no repair equals NO CHARGE!
Chinese Go-Kart
This one was an electrical nightmare! The owner had replaced most of the electrical components, but it still didn't start. It needed a few wiring changes and a new coil and ignition switch. After cleaning the carburetor, we also found out that the pressure drop across the carburetor required the installation of the air filter before it would start.
Kawasaki Motorcycle
This motorcycle is a four cylinder, running on one or two cylinders. It was found that Kawasaki originally installed a weak timing chain tensioner, which allowed the cam timing to change, so the engine came out for a new chain tensioner, 4 carburetor rebuild, and a new ignition coil for two of the cylinders, along with a service.
